Antique 1930's sterling & shell carved cameo plated gold BA800

Vintage 1930's cameo carved from shell

set in sterling marked BA (province of Bari) 800 for the finess of sterling- less than 925 the standard in the US.

from Italy

the back looks like there was a plating of gold, the sides have this coiled lightweight design has some slight smashed effect but it can be fluffed a bit here and ther with fingernail. general wear, overall nice antique pin.

1" by 1.5" pinback as well a a hoop for wearing as a necklace.

pretty profile nice carving not crude like some.
