Vintage hand painted sacred heart on silk

5" by 5" wall hanging.

Lethorne O'Connor was an artist out of Chicago, from Columbia College, who was married to a funeral director. She was well known for painting sacred hearts or crosses for funerals.

this one is from the early part of her career in the 40's.

Beautiful, some light marks on the delicate silk see photos. Over all nice condition for the age and materials.
It is painted on silk over a cushion on board giving it some depth.
